This photograph is a part of the Kansas-based "Circle Irrigation" series and features impressive centre-pivot irrigation systems used on cereal farms. This irrigation technique's ability to produce perfectly circular shapes is evidence of industrial agriculture that is almost entirely mechanized and its effects on the agricultural landscape.

Since 2010, Bernhard Lang dedicates himself to aerial photography, travelling around the world and looking for singular landscapes impacted by human activities. From the sky, these views almost look like abstract paintings.
